Ok,firstly i want to expelle the wives tale that OB fish don't breed,it's complete rubbish. They breed fine, sometimes prolifically. It is true that OB fish are hybrids, but they are found in the wild and if it wasn't suppose to happen it wouldn't have. Our OB's live in our 5 foot x 2 x2.5 community tank.

Well i suppose it would look nice with black pebbles, but we wanted to go for a more natural look.
Besides they draw enough attention chasing each other around the tank like little monsters lol Smile

These are one of my fav fish.U can can add black stones with a darker background and add a few plastic plants. That way the colour of the fish will be more vibrant and the plastic plants will not hamper your ph level.

This video will help you set up the tank.

Yeah,we are thinking of putting plastic plants in that tank. They will most likely be destroyed though because our africans live in with the jack dempsey's , and she seems to like to wreck things, but then again we are thinking of swapping it all around and putting : 3 polleni,3 frontosa,4 juvi frontosa,2 jack dempseys in the one tank, its a very large tank,180 gallons or so.

So the OB's may end up in a species/breeding tank of their own soon.
