Flame back

I got sick of not having something to look at in lake Victorians.

We have a lovely little colony of flame backs here, you need 5 or so females to a male to breed them as the males can be very mean especially to their own kind.If you plan to keep them ,they're best kept with other aggressive fish such as hongi, zebra etc and you should never really keep 2 males together or they might decide to kill each other.

i agree, i breed the sp.44's or "thick skins" and the males can get a lil rowdy from time to time. heres two of my males fightin over a corner in the tank. after this was settled ive never had problems again

these lil buggers must be very aggressive.

their really not that bad at all, as long as the males stay on their own end of the tank.
those are the only 2 males i have.

thats about the best advice i can give on em is to have at least 2females to each male.
